The Rhône-Alpes region offers astonishing geographical diversity. It includes part of the Alps, with majestic peaks and famous ski resorts. What's more, the Rhône valley runs through the region, offering picturesque vineyards and magnificent river landscapes. The region is famous for its dynamic cities. Indeed, Lyon, France's second largest city, is renowned for its gastronomic scene, historical heritage and cultural festivals. Saint Etienne, Grenoble, Chambéry and Annecy are other major urban centers.Nature and outdoor activities
